There are some easy but helpful feeding tips that you can do to make your life and your baby's life alot easier than it could be if you were to miss out on these.
1. First off you should always hold your baby when feeding them (even when it is old enough to feed itself). This is to prevent the baby from swallowing air and causing discomfort and lots of burping. I.E. your baby will sleep more :)
2. Secondly, if you are able to, it would be best for you to breastfeed your baby. This is to provide that natural immunities already possessed by your body.
3. Absolutely do not give your baby solid food for the first 4 months. Formula and Breast Milk are necessary for your baby's development. Solid food being fed to your baby too early can lead to food allergies. And that can be a major pain for both of you. You don't want to have to carry around an epi pen if you don't want to.
4. When your baby does start to eat solid food, you should avoid forcing your baby to eat all of the food when he/she doesn't want to because it will start bad habits. The baby will think to eat food just because it is there and not because they are hungry and this can lead to obesity problems later in life. So avoid the starving kids in china routine until they are old enough to understand you.
5. Finally, be flexible, don't just assume that if your baby generally eats everything on their plate or eats like a bird, that they are going to do that all the time. They are just like we are, sometimes we feel like eating a lot and sometimes we don't. Just don't get frustrated, because it's easy to.
